How
do I make one?
Before students can make an e-portfolio, they must:

be enrolled at GateWay
-
set up a computer account either in a class that requires students to add
to the e-portfolio or contact Dean Stover.
When the computer account has been established, students will receive a
user name and password which they should not share with anyone.
The account has the following parameters:

10 megabytes of space on a GateWay’s computer.

Must use standard MS-Word documents, Excel Spreadsheets and .jpg or .gif
format for image files

Students will have both write and read access

Faculty will have read access only in order to view student work

Work stored in the account will not be posted on the web
The best work will be selected for posting on the e-portfolio web page.
The students will be contacted to grant permission prior to posting.
Before making an e-portfolio, students will want to look at each section
of the e-portfolio web page in order to:

See how GateWay Faculty have defined the outcomes for the six skill areas:
communication, humanities, computing, critical thinking, problem-solving,
math and science

See how GateWay Faculty have defined the outcome scoring from the six skill
areas

Look at examples of student work that have been posted to demonstrate those
skills.
