Posterior Pituitary 100X

The posterior pituitary is neuronal tissue with axons extending (via the infundibulum) from nuclei originating in the hypothalamus. It is from these axonal processes that the hormones ADH and oxytocin are secreted. The tissue here shows these neuronal processes which easily differentiate this from the anterior pituitary.
