This shows AREOLAR connective tissue at 100X magnification.
Many fibroblasts are visible here as their nuclei resemble scattered dots.
Fine strands of elastic fibers along with thicker strands of collagen fibers are also visible scattered throughout the matrix of this tissue.
AREOLAR connective tissue is commonly located underlying epithelial membranes and surrounding capillaries.
